A third of Delhi's groundwater samples exceed salinity limits
The Annual Ground Water Quality Report 2024 put Delhi among India's worst states for salinity exceedance, with elevated uranium, lead and nitrate in monitored wells - ~114 sq km of the south-west has no fresh groundwater at all.
